Welcome to ECC!

We would like to introduce you to Evangelical Christian Church. Our vision is to present the message of the Gospel (Good News) to the people in Australia and across the world.  Jesus said, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature!” (Mark 16:15) We follow the teachings of the Scripture and believe that the Word of God is applicable to everyday life. It inspires us to be all that God wants us to be. “All scripture is divinely inspired, is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. ” (2 Timothy 3: 16,17) Knowing God and understanding his Word brings hope, and gives us a purpose for living. Consequently, once we experience God’s love, we are able to love people around us because of the power of the Holy Spirit that is in us. Loving People, Bringing Hope is at heart of our church, which you’ll notice as soon as you enter the church. We are actively involved in various mission fields and support missionaries around the world.  We believe that even if we cannot go personally, we can still take part in bringing good news and encouragement. The sermons are held in Croatian with English translation or vice versa and consist of worship, preaching of the Word of God and fellowship at the end of service. The bookshop is open on Sunday mornings. We offer Christian literature in English and Croatian language. Bibles and certain other Christian materials we have available in many other languages.
The church is engaged in many activities which include: prayer and healing meetings, Sunday school for children, youth activities, excursions, meetings for women, music, seminars and teaching, social activities and community outreach.

What We Believe In

GOD

We believe that there is only one God Who is the Creator and Preserver of all things visible and invisible.

Genesis 1:1, Psalm 86:9-10, Isaiah 43:10-11, John 1:1-3.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, for whom and through whom all things were made, His virgin birth, His death on the cross and resurrection. He ascended into heaven where He eternally intercedes for us.

John 1:14, John 14:9, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25, Colossians 1:16, 1 Timothy 2:5-6.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Ghost (the third person of the Trinity) came from the Father and the Son, and is of one substance majesty and glory with the Father and the Son.

John 14:16-17, John 15:26, Matthew. 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:8, Ephesians 4:30, Acts 13:2-4.

INSPIRATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe in the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures as contained in the Old and New Testaments.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Matthew 5:17-18, Matthew 24:35, John 5:39.

JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH

In the atoning death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that all people have sinned, come short of the glory of God and need forgiveness of sins in order to be saved from eternal death. Salvation is a free gift from God which we all need to accept by faith. No one can be justified before God through good works or independent attempts. Only through faith in what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, can our sins be forgiven and we be saved from God’s judgement.

Romans 4:25, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9

BAPTISM IN WATER

By single immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew. 28:19-20, Acts 10:48, Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12, Mark 16:16.

SANCTIFICATION

Is the privilege of every believer.

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Evidenced by speaking in other tongues is for every believer.

Acts 1:1-8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:15-19, Acts 10:44-47, Acts 19:1-7.
